Target Page Width

 In many cases you might have a bit of text in your Curved Corner Box Contents Area, more than will fit on one line.  So where should the line breaks be in the text?  You could control them manually by embedding <BR> tags, but probably the best way is to let the text in the box wrap naturally with the size of the box.  And what is the size of the box?  The box can be allowed to expand to the full size of the area it is in like for instance a narrow left column on a web page.  That would then determine the size of the box which would then determine the point at which text in the box wraps.

 To achieve a result like above, you would leave the  Contents Area Nowrap  text style unchecked, you would enter a value in the Target Web Page Column Width field, and leave the  RESIZE/FIXED WIDTH  field blank.  The Target Web Page Column Width setting does not set anything in the COPY/PASTE code generated, the purpose of this field is for the WISYWIG development of your box only.  This setting is visually indicated by light gray vertical lines seen to the left and right of the WISYWIG display.  The space between those lines and the box is determined by the  Horizontal Spacing setting.

 If you are targeting your box to a column on your web page that is defined with a % width, which many web developers like to do, then you will want to use the settings above because they will generate a more consistent appearance on the target web page with the box expanding to fill the column width minus the Target Web Page  Horizontal Spacing setting.  Whatever text is in your box would then wrap subordinate to that.

 If you don't like that way of doing it, you can set your box to a fixed width instead.  Just enter a value into the  Resize/Fixed Width field.  That value will override the Target Column Width setting and will the force the box wider if necessary.  A box produced with the Resize/Fixed Width field set will display at a fixed width no matter what web page it is put into.  Any text in the box will then wrap at the fixed width.

 If you have the Contents Area Text Styles Nowrap checkbox checked, it will override both the Target Column Width setting and the Resize/Fixed Width setting if necessary.
